Unfinished Stuff

Trying out something new

I have too many hobbies already. You know, the shiny new things which look very appealing to do. You invest in it by buying things to start your shiny new hobby.

After a while you find a new shiny hobby, and let the old one, together with its stuff, collect dust in a dark storage area. When you see the items you are reminded of all the hobbies you tried out, but never finished.

This is one of my main pitfalls. I never finish anything. I have a never-ending list of projects waiting for me to rediscover them. And it is not even the started projects or hobbies, Rick Pastoor in his book GRIP suggests creating a someday list in your to-do app. This list can contain any project, hobby or idea that does not fit within your current goals, but you want to save them for later so, when it aligns with your goals, you can pick it back up.

My someday list is getting bigger over time, I add a lot of interesting stuff to this list, but never manage to pick it up, let alone finish it.

So lately, when reading a lot of interesting and motivating blogs here on Bear I figured, why don't I start writing as well. I noticed a lot of people say that writing is very good for the brain, maybe it will make me finish something one day.

Luckily, one of the upsides of blogging is that a blog is never finished, right?
